Deposits are dense and resistant to high abrasion wear and mild impact. Typically used to weld tools and dies such as A and D series materials. It is also very effective as an overlay on high carbon and high chromium varieties of tool steels. Examples include; extrusion dies, blanking dies, coining dies, mandrels, and forming dies.
