Esab Shield-Bright 2594 description: Shield-Bright 2594, a "super duplex" stainless cored wire, was developed with a nominal composition of 25% Cr, 9% Ni, 4% Mo, and 0.25% N. Shield-Bright 2594 is usable for UNS S32750 (SAF 2507 and URN47N+2), S32760 (Zeron 100 and FAC100) and J9338380 (cast Zeron 100) and similar compositions. It is also suitable for the welding of Ferralium UNS S32550 and CD-4MCu except for applications where sulfuric or sulfurous acids are present, such as scrubbers for power plants.
