Oerlikon Cromocord B3 description: CROMOCORD B3 is a basic coated 2,25%Cr 1%Mo electrode suitable for welding creep resistant steels like 10CrMo9-10, 12CrMo9-10, SA387 Gr22Cl1 and Cl2, SA 182 F22 , SA 335 Gr P22, and similar. The weld metal chemistry is low in impurity elements which allows to guarantee Xbar<15ppm and J<150ppm. Excellent tensile strength at high temperature, approved up to +600C. Very low diffusible hydrogen (HD<4ml/100g). Suitable for the fabrication of pressure vessels, boilers and pipes in Power generation and petrochemical Industry. The CROMOCORD B3 offers excellent operability in all position welding except downhill. Stable arc with excellent bead shape. Preheat min 160C, Interpass max 300C. Efficiency about 120%. Suitable for use with DC positive.
