Oerlikon Nirod 617 description: NIROD 617 is an S Ni 6617 / ER NiCrCoMo-1 type solid TlG welding wire depositing Ni-22Cr12Co9Mo weld metal. Suitable for use with inert shielding gases. NIROD 617 is used for the welding of Nickel base alloys such as alloy 617 and similar alloys. Also suitable for dissimilar welding of high-temperature alloys. High temperature application up to 1100C. Main applications are: combustion, pyrolysis, heat treatment, furnace components. The weld metal has high creep stregth, excellent resistance to oxidation and carburisation.
