Oerlikon Supranox RS 308H description: SUPRANOX RS 308H is a rutile coated electrode for welding austenitic, creep resistant steels with higher carbon contents, type 18%Cr - 8%N. Typical applications are in the petrochemical and nuclear industries for structural and pressure-containing applications. Operating temperatures are between 400-700C and the deposit is insusceptible to embrittlement and to scaling up to 800C. Carbon content in the range of 0.04-0.08 provides higher tensile and creep strengths at elevated temperatures. Excellent weldability with a spatter free arc, self-releasing slag combined with a very smooth bead appearance.
